An HTML5-game contributing to a successful online campaign
We’ve been working together with The Lotto on their online brand campaigns for multiple years now; reaching from their online display advertising to their social media outings, as well as providing them with creatives and input for their promotional campaigns. In 2016 The Lotto launched ‘De 6 van Lotto’ (translated as: The Six from Lotto), which is an large promotional campaign that connects to their pro cycling team and the six grand tours that they will attent to in 2016.
To accompany this big event we created a game in which players can win prizes in relation to these cycle tours (bicycles, gear, (starting)tickets, etc). The concept is simple: the Lotto-machine will draft a ball with a number, and the player has to guess if the next number will be either higher or lower. When the player guesses all drafts (six in total) correctly, he or she can opt-in to win.
The game has been developed in a way that The Lotto can freely distribute multiple separate campaigns using the same game. Through the CMS and back-end (developed by René Bakker), The Lotto can easily change the appearances of the game (titles, copy, backgrounds, images, etc) and add additional functionality to the game (the draft of additional / coloured balls).
The game is also developed from a mobile-first perspective, which includes all mobile devices and (native) browsers from up to Android 4.0 and iOS 6. Also the game can be easily integrated into social media (such as Facebook) or separate campaign sites by the use of iFrames.
